    you're correct, that games was on february 4, 1987




    btw in 1999 the lakers held the clippers to 19 points in the first half..i think that's a team record for lowest points allowed in a half

    128-92 lakers..
    so kings scored 29 pts per quarter after the first? Strong defense back then.

    Yeah, that's probably right. I was at the game at the Forum but it was a long time ago, I just posted from memory......It was one of the strangest things I ever saw, I didn't know if I should root for a first quarter shutout or feel sorry for them.
    If my memory serves me correct the Kings were sill Kansas City and had Reggie Theus. I never thought i'd forget that game but I've witnessed a lot of amazing basketball since then.
