Default Best player in the NBA

Let's assume Durant comes back 100% healthy. Even not fully recovered he put up some beast stats.

Is Lebron still the best player in the world?

Would it be Durant? Westbrook? AD? Curry?

Can we stop being obsessed with this question. I see this thread at least 5 times a week.

    Depends on who you ask.

I could see valid arguments for:

Lebron, Davis, Curry, Harden, and Westbrook for this season, and Durant would be in the conversation if he didn't need to go back for surgery. On a bum foot, he was still beasting.

People will look at Davis and say that he's too young, not as good defensively as his stats say, bird fed. They're just hating.

People look at Curry and think he's still weak defensively, just a shooter. Look at advanced stats, game logs, whatever. Curry has been playing remarkable defense this season and is right up there with the best defenders at the position.

Harden and Westbrook are more like one man shows but they're effective. I don't think either are as good as Lebron, Davis, or Curry but that's just my opinion.

My rankings, with Durant back 100%:

    Durant
    Lebron
    Curry
    Davis
    Westbrook
    Harden
    CP3
    Griffin
    Cousins
    Jimmy Butler

Wall (over Kyrie, hard decision. Wall's worlds better defensively and in playmaking while Kyrie is the better pure scorer. Wall isn't a slouch offensively, but Kyrie is a rotating door on defense)
    Good list

I feel like Durant Curry and Lebron are in their own league

Then Davis, Westbrook and Harden are pretty much interchangeable in that 2nd tier

Then CP3 and Blake are everslightly behind... If Blake wasn't injured and Clips were more focused early on in the season they might have won 60+ games and both those guys would be up in the mix with Davis/Westbrook/Harden... I'm thinking if Clippers make it to the WCF, Blake and CP3 are going to bump up on my list.

Wall Cousins Kyrie and Lamarcus are sort of in the same ballpark
