People can definitely forget what their experiences were like as a child and her child-like experiences would have no transfer at all to actual policy.

Her focus after she got her JD was bankruptcy law and how it affected the elderly, poor and middle class workers, and distressed companies. It became her area of experitse when she worked as a lawyer. She released a bunch of of cases when she ran for Senate... many of them were asbestos cases in which she worked to get money for affected people from companies that filed for bankruptcy. She set up trusts and compensation funds to make sure that those companies didn't declare bankruptcy and avoid having to compensate those affected. She taught bankruptcy law in law schools, and she was called on to help oversee TARP and the creation of the CFPB. We know how much all those rich people and banks love the CFPB. Most of the focus of her work was consumer facing. So again... how did you arrive at this notion that she had "no ability to relate to actual working people?"
