My guesstimate is that when it comes to basketball about 70-75% of all people who know about the sport would choose Jordan as the GOAT. Then there will be votes for Wilt, Kareem, Russell etc. I'm not saying anyone is right or wrong, I'm just stating that this is what I feel.
What about other sports? I don't have enough background to make an educated guess in all of the sports.
Hockey: Gretzky (80+% maybe?)
Football:
Baseball:
Soccer: (Maradona and Pele both 40% each maybe)
Is it more competitive for GOAT in other sports or is there a more clearcut GOAT candidate than Jordan?

i agree zidane is the best soccer player ive ever seen, and im english, im supposed 2 hate the french. probably my fav ever player and he hasnt even played for my team. If u dont give zidane consideration for goat then you know nothing about football
