Re: Kobe has lost 19lbs...
During the 2005-2006 season Kobe came in at around 214, I expect Kobe to put on some weight before the season and come in around 210...thats just me. No big deal

I think he is going to stay where he is at. He said this is the lightest he has been since 1998. I never saw Kobe play in 1998. Back then, how good was he on defense at that weight level?

his post defense wasnt nearly as good but he was much quicker laterallly...His defense overall will be better with the softer nba rules but it might take him some time to adjust

Do you think the Team USA scrimmage game tonight will be good to see how he is adjusting?

He's like 205 before, so that means he's going to be down to 190? That's a little too skinny.

What set you claim?

He wasn't 205. They changed to that weight in '08. He was probably 215-220.
Either way he's probably back down to 200-205 which is really skinny. I'm guessing he's anticipating playing off-ball way more this season.

Well he used to be 220. In 2008, which is during the Olympics, Kobe slimmed down a little. He's been listed at 205 since then on ESPN. Unless he bulked up back to 220 these years....
