The 2011 NBA MVP Award was a hotly-debated topic on the Internet, with Derrick Rose vs. Dwight Howard spurring a classic eye-test vs. stats debate that waged throughout the winter and early spring. As it turned out, though, the debate wasn't really much of a debate. Rose earned 113 of the 121 first-place votes (one ballot was for the fans), and had 1,182 points in total in winning MVP. Nobody even placed him lower than third on their ballot.

I've been told multiple times on ISH that Rose robbed Bran of MVP, how come he was a distant 3rd not even in consideration for MVP if that was the case? If anything Howard was robbed.

How do you have a top 5 player in wade and a top 15 player in bosh and not have the best record if you are going to argue someone is the MVP.

Literally nothing interesting about that article. Everybody already knew LeBron had an extremely weak argument for MVP that year. It's actually amazing, after all the backlash he got that he still finished 3rd. Shows what a weak MVP field it was that year

No because he stole an MVP from him. Losing in the playoffs is no shame, Rose was like 21 and didnt have a superteam. Meanwhile losing to JJ Barea and Jason Terry is the definition of shame.
