Shit's never gonna happen bruhs. Best you can hope for is Floyd-Cotto 2, but he'll most likely go on another long 'vacation'.
Let it go.

Yea blame it on Floyd when BoB Arum is clearly the one getting in the way of this fight.
A week ago he was saying how the contract was signed on their part and everything was agreed on..And now today hes saying that theres still alot of issues they need to take care of and he'd like to move the fight date to June to get more time to promote it

Re: Manny vs Floyd happening!!!

You'll parrot anything Floyd says. Please explain how Bob Arum is clearly getting in the way of the fight.

Past 2 weels Arum has been saying a contract has been signed when one doesn't even exist.

Didn't he just say that Pac had agreed to the terms Floyd laid out (60/40 split, the date, the venue, drug testing, etc)? How is calling for the fighters to sign contracts a way of stopping a fight?
And it looks like the issue is with the networks, Bob Arum doesn't work for either Showtime or HBO. He's most likely not even involved in those talks. He did his part- he's the one that sought out Les Moonves (head of CBS) and got him together with Plepler (President of HBO). He agreed to all of Floyd's terms, including making him a co-promoter of the fight (despite Mayweather promotions never doing anything remotely close to a big fight).
So again... how is that preventing the fight from happening?

The past 2 weeks up until they met at the Heat game, Arum and Manny damn near everyday would say something about Floyd not signing or he's scared, ect. They've been noticeably quiet since that day.

No they haven't. Arum does like 3 interviews a day
You still haven't explained to me how Arum agreeing to every single one of Floyd's terms and getting everyone together in the first place (HBO, Showtime/CBS) = preventing the fight.
I'll wait.

How did he agree to all the terms if he just said in an interview yesterday that he prefers to schedule the fight in June instead of May and that theres a lot of other issues that still need to be solved?
Hes claiming that the May date should be reserved for Mexican fighters yet he had no problem with it when Pacquiao fought Mosley and Hatton on that same date

From an article posted earlier today:
"Neither Mayweather nor Pacquiao are Mexicans, but I clearly said that if that's what it takes to make the fight, then we'd go along with May 2nd".

Keep reaching, bruh. Arum is the one who got the ball rolling by getting CBS/Showtime and HBO together to hammer out a deal while agreeing to ALL of Floyd's demands.
But he's killing the fight doe.

Why didnt you quote the last paragraph of that interview?? The part where Arum says theres still alot of issues to be taken care of because big money is involved.
So hes saying that the contract was all done and he signed his part but somehow theres still a long way to go and issues that need to be fixed
And again where was his concern with that Mexican date when Pacquiao was fighting Hatton and Mosley?

The only issues that remain pertain to the network distribution deal. Arum is not involved in those talks as he does not work for either Showtime/CBS or HBO. That is a separate issue. The fighters agreement has been greenlit by Pacquiao and Top Rank. The split, the date, the venue, the drug testing, the promotional credits, down to who comes into the ring last. Everything Floyd wanted, he got. Only thing that could possibly stop the fight at this point is the networks making some miniscule issue the impediment to a possible $250 million fight... or Floyd deciding (again) he doesn't want the fight for no particular reason.

According to who? If that was the only issue left to take care of he would have said so. Also he clearly said "It's a big deal and it takes time to negotiate a fight" which suggests that no contract was actually signed for any side yet and that they are still talking it over.
You take everything Bob Arum says as a fact and run with it when he keeps on contradicting himself

Care to give me a link of Dan Rafael, Kevin Iole or Stephen Espinoza saying the only issue left to resolve is with the networks? Those guys are just reporting whatever Bob Arum tells them. You act as if they're in the negotiations room and taking part in the discussion.
Here's a recent post from Dan Rafael's blog by the way: http://espn.go.com/blog/dan-rafael/p...ao-not-set-yet
