I don't think the thread was ever abandoned but there haven't been a lot of rumors (besides the crazy Kevin Love rumors).

    Default Heat cut Shannon Brown

Since we are bringing Earl Clark back pretty soon here, maybe we should consider bringing Shannon Brown back for his defense and three point shooting.

That could be a pretty potent second unit.

    Price/Brown/Young/Clark/Davis

You guys think Davis can be our future big along side Randle if he fills out a bit?

Definitely not. He's just a role player. Jordan Hill has been decent at C though.

But I don't think the Lakers will pick up his option next year. Part of the deal of overpaying him this year is that they can just get rid of his contract next summer. Would you use the $ instead on Monroe? Amir Johnson?

Absolutely on Monroe. I think he's looking for a max deal though. Amir Johnson probably not. I like Hill better.

    Default Seth Curry

We should consider adding him to our team. I think he would be a perfect fit with his skill set and the group of guards we currently have. He is shooting the ball exceptionally well in the dleague this year. Certainly good enough to be on our bench.

    Default Lakers Championship Rotation

    pg: Ronnie Price/Seth Curry/Jeremy Lin
    sg: Kobe Bryant/Wayne Ellington/Jordan Clarkson
    sf: Wesley Johnson/Nick Young/Ryan Kelly
    pf: Ed Davis/Earl Clark/Carlos Boozer
    C: Jordan Hill/Robert Sacre

We need to add Seth Curry and Earl Clark to our team. As a matter of fact, Seth Curry and Ellington could become the LA Splash Brothers.

I know Jeremy Lin hasnt gotten good stats in his 2 games off the bench, but I think he h as played well. But you really have to watch the games to see it. I feel he should have gotten at least 3 more assists from shots that he set up for others. I think he is taking to heart to be a point guard, and I think he is doing well. Not showing up in the stats, but he is impacting the game when out there over Price.

Lin is not a starter in the NBA. I've said it for years. It wasn't a bad trade for the Lakers since they'll have cap space and got picks but I don't expect anything from him. He was way over hyped in NY for a couple weeks. Everybody expects him to be a solid NBA starter because of it. He just isn't.

At that time, he was a great starter. Different story now. I'm hoping the Lakers can help him fully develop as a PG & also reach his potential. I think he just needs some time.

I really do hope they sign him next season for 2 or 3 more years.
