I highly doubt he was brought in for non-basketball reasons. The Nets legitimately could use another big, they actually wanted Davis more and if it was just about attention they could have had him long ago.

Nice glue guy for the Nets. Should be able to bring the guys in together and make them player harder. You can't underestimate his impact in the locker room. He's someone who can make a play that will get your whole team off the bench.

That is because Prokhorov gave him unlimited resources and he can go after any big name player that he wishes to. While I'm upset at how Billy composed this crap team, Collins is only on a 10 day contract so it's no reason to panic.

My biggest concern is that we need a general manager that can use Prokhorov's money wisely and turn us into a championship contender when our players contracts ends.

It looks like the Nets plan is to pursue Durant. With no picks so no real young players, with Deron on a $25M contract, but Durant is coming. So let everything expire and Durant will come play with Deron and nothing. Not stay in OKC with all the young stars they've gathered. Those young players in OKC are going to command a nice contract in three years, which the Thunder will not offer. The Thunder only have these young players for max two more years. Deron is a scrub. We need to trade him and start with nothing. Then in 2016 we get Lillard, KD, and Dwight.
