Kareem had great playoff runs in '70, '74, and '77, but none won a title. IMHO, his '71 run was his best, when he led his team to a 12-2 run and a world title.

Wilt's '67 is probably the most dominating, when he just destroyed both Russell and Thurmond en route to a world championship. He also had brilliant runs in '60, '62, '64, '65, '68, and '72.

Moses' '83 was another overwhelming title run (12-1.)

    MJ's '91.

    Shaq's 2000.

Magic's 87 and Bird's '86 are right there, as well.

Sorry, Kobe doesn't have anything to do here.

Hakeem and Barry easily top the list, after those there is a lot of competition for Top3-5, MJ, Shaq, TD, etc etc.

Larry Bird's 1984 post-season run gotta be one of the most underrated ever, if not the most.

With his teammates playing considerably below their usual (regular-season) standards, Bird just wrecks shit up, leading the team in:
    -Points
    -Rebounds
    -Assists
    -Steals
    -FG%
    -FT%
(was also 3rd in blocks and 3rd in 3P% with more 3's taken)

NOBODY has ever done that, at least playing a considerably amount of games, even winning the title at that.

Scored 11 more points per game than their next best - DJ, who was shooting 40% - and shot 52.4% from the field while his teammates combined were at 45.8%.

Going through the showtime Lakers, Moncrief and Marques' Bucks and King's Knicks...

Lakers had Kareem, Magic, Worthy, McAdoo, Cooper, Rambis, Scott, Wilkes...
Stcked af, most players at a better level than Boston's throughout the Playoffs, better on paper.
That team would've rapped today's league, for example.

Some classic performances, some classic moments, some really clutch stuff, as well.
Outscored on better FG% (and overall outplayed) peak King, easily disposed of the Bullets with all-around play, was everywhere vs the Bucks, couldn't be stopped and outhustled everybody against the Lakers.

Bird was a better player in 1986, at his absolute peak, but his '84 Playoff run was better, imho.

People overlooked stuff like tht though.

i really cant understand why. but you can see the same in other threads. putting laughable palyers ahead of dirk talentwise or all-time wise.

    dirk never gets any respects.

no other all-star. facing blazers, lakers, okc, miami. injured finger, fever, 2 game winners in finals. 10 points on 51/53/94 through the playoffs in 4th quarter etc. pp.

    during the finals:
    with dirk on the floor:
    Mavs .94 ppp - Heat .91 PPP

    without dirk on the floor
    mavs .48 PPP - Heat 1.26 PPP

    who cares.
