Josh Smith, Rockets still adapting to each other

Josh Smith still has not done much offensively, though he did hit his first 3-pointer with the Rockets (he missed his other attempt when James Harden set him up as if determined to give his new teammate another touch in the corner to get him going.) But Smith was making plays defensively, blocking three shots, getting three steals and having several other disruptive deflections. A few easy baskets could help him to relax and play more naturally offensively, but contributing on the defensive end the way he did on Thursday could make him feel more at ease and give the Rockets more of what they need, anyway. -- Houston Chronicle Blog
