stop with this nonsense.
ok, lets pretend OKC gets eliminated in the playoffs (early or late, no difference). So he decides to join a team of 2 second year players and a 3rd year player (who will be asking for a new contract by then), in hopes of winning a championship?
Cap space, young guns, and a d league roster doesnt net you a superstar in todays league.

Lakers sign no free agents = Kobe doesn't recruit
Lakers sign a free agent = Kobe recruited him

Re: Details of what Kobe told Aldridge
Kobe didn't say anything wrong. It's Jim Buss' baseball cap and his questionable motives that probably turned Aldridge off. He just isn't able to present the organization with the same zeal his dad was able to. This is the same guy that wanted to play run and gun basketball with a front court of Dwight and Gasol. I can only imagine what he wanted with Aldrige.

Durant's going to jump ship from a contender OKC to a 36 year old Kobe, and 2 rookies.

You really think they won't get pieces around Durant if they got him?
Mitch has already proven that he'll surround his superstar with enough talent to win

You think durant would sign with LA without having any established names on the roster. what difference is this summer compared to next? Theyll go after durant at the start of free agency, and while theyre pitching to him, other FA's will be snagged up, leaving us in the same predicament we were in the last two years. stop being so ignorant.

Re: Details of what Kobe told Aldridge
Stop talking about this Durant to LA nonsense. We just have to hope we get ONE good FA this offseason. Durant is a pipe dream at this point, especially if we come away empty-handed yet again.
