    So the jump shot was invented in the 30's.

    Interesting,... the perception by most fans here is that it wasn't until the 80's. Up until then, 5-10 white players dribbled the ball above their heads and with both hands, were shooting standing set-shots at peach baskets, and all rebounds were scooped up from the floor.

    Hard to convince someone that honestly believes that players like Kareem, Dr. J, Pistol Pete, and Chamberlain wouldn't be any good in today's NBA.
