This team is officially a problem for Adam Silver.

What can actually legitimately be done about it though? I mean it's a BADDDD look but they aren't doing anything that violates any rules.

I agree with what you're saying and I think that's exactly why it's a problem for Silver.

It's clearly an integrity issue, yet they aren't violating any rules. If there was something Silver could do, it wouldn't be such a problem. But it definitely sucks for the league.

Also a clear cut example showing that winning/losing team culture is not just an abstract concept... it's very real. This plan will not work because by the time the have amassed the talent, all the fruit will have rotted on the vine. It's a disgrace.

IMO you should only get so many shots at the lottery in the NBA before you're thrown to the back of the line. It disgusts me that the Sixers could get a crack at Ben Simmons

Don't get me wrong. I know there are philly fans here and I empathize but their upper management has shown NOTHING to indicate they'll even try to somewhat put a cohesive product on the floor. Even their drafting has been suspect.

Bingo. That hole that they're digging for themselves becomes harder and harder to climb out of at some point and applies needless pressure to rookies and anyone else expected to turn the franchise around.

Not a bad idea at all.

If they don't get Simmons, they're pretty much a lock to suck like this for 2, 3+ more years. There's such an overwhelming culture of losing they've built that no worthwhile vet free agents are going to want to come there, it's pretty much a generational prospect or bust for them. Only a next-level prospect like a Durant, a Davis, a Lebron can pull them out of this shit and next year's draft being a one-man deal, if they strike out again it's going to look really, really bad.
