I wish Magic and Larry had decided to be interviewed for the doc but it sort of fits into their respective rivalries that even to this day those guys are annoyed by the Pistons. Do you know if Adrian Dantley is interviewed?
Yes, Dantley was interviewed. I think that portion has potential to be very interesting, as the trade aspect tends to be overlooked when thinking of that club.
Many may not recall that Dantley held Isiah Thomas responsible for that trade, assuming Isiah just wanted to get his fellow Chicago boy Mark Aguirre on board. I'm not sure how Dantley feels now, but I recall reading that back then, when Dantley's Mavs first played the Pistons post-trade, he and Thomas shook hands and appeared to have reconciled before the game. Instead, as they shook, Dantley leaned in and whispered, "I'll never forgive you for this."
