(btw, regarding the stats that subtract turnovers - the math works out correctly - for instance, if a team has 5 assists and 5 TO's in the 4th quarter, and Lebron has 1 assist and 1 TO, then he had 20% of his team's assists and 20% of their TO's, so it's a wash)

It's bad enough that Lebron reduces his teammates' APG (playmaking), but he also increases their assisted rate (play-finishing)!!!... So it's statistical fact that Lebron turns teammates from playmakers into play-finishers.. With this new understanding, we can predict/explain the playoff performance of Lebron's teams much better:

Lebron minimizes teammates into predictable, play-finishing roles that no longer succeed against the best teams in the playoffs - since teammates can't play to capacity in these roles and underperform, the TEAM can't play to capacity and underperforms (i.e. losing as the favorite in 2009 ECF, 2010 ECSF, and 2011 Finals, or losing when it was 50/50 - 2014 Finals).

Now the question is WHY SPECIFICALLY does Lebron turn teammates into play-finishers (thus preventing them from playing to capacity against the best teams)?.. The reason is twofold.

Do you have these essays saved in a word document or something?

Nobody is claiming he's Magic Johnson or something, nor is this thread about his assist ratios or his assists vs. team assists etc. It's about whether he is a creative/flashy passer or not.

For an analysis of Lebron's passing to be viable, it must include the reality that his playmaking and APG is achieved by reducing the APG of teammates.

This is statistical fact... And since Lebron reduces his teammates' APG while Magic, MJ, and Bird DIDN'T, he's nowhere near the passer they were.. It's hard to respect a guy's passing when he achieved his assists by reducing teammates' assists.

Furthermore, against the best teams in the playoffs, Lebron's teammates can no longer succeed in their predictable play-finishing roles - they underperform, which causes the TEAM to underperform - meanwhile, he stat-pads and accumulates stats by reducing THEIR playmaking capacity..

Otoh, MJ/Magic/Bird didn't achieve their stats by reducing the stats of teammates, so their teams always played to capacity and had better records in Finals.

As much as I'd like to hope that what Tmz is stating is true, I simply cannot believe it. Lebron is alot of things. Colluder....Coach Killer.... and a lot of things but he is a creative passer. But, he isnt much of a risk taker when it comes to passing so it may look like he isnt flashy when he passes out or when he passes in transition.

One of the best passers of all time.

He's right under magic and kidd and on par with Bird, Nash, and Paul.

Even people that hate Lebron know his biggest strength is passing.

He's not on par with Nash and Nash was better than Bird or Paul.

As far as playmaking and passing goes, Nash might be on Magic's level.

He's definitely on Par with Nash. From a creative standpoint, Lebron has done so many WOW passes with speed and accuracy.

Bird had a lot of eyes in the back of his head passes.
