The Lakers have a resurgence and come from behind to look like a potential 8th seed team?

They are currently only 5 games behind the 8th place Sacramento Kings.

Lakers have had one of the toughest schedules to kick off the season with multiple back-to-backs (Houston-Phoenix, Clippers-GSW), playing against the Spurs, facing GSW twice (who look unstoppable right now), Memphis on the road (that they could have won if a few calls went their way or the bench held the game close).

I mean, this team is not really Playoff material, but they are not going to only win 10% of their games. They are not going to be facing the top WC teams all season, though they do play in one of the most brutal divisions in the L.

Detroit is looking really bad right now and Lakers aren't going to win vs a very talented Washington squad on a 2nd night of a b2b on the road.... You can forget about winning in San Antonio and at Chicago, but most of the home games are winnable. This is predicated on the fact that Young comes back healthy and no more injuries occur. Guys should be developing some sort of chemistry 20 games into the season and the defense can't possibly be this bad all year, right???


I will bump this thread on December 30 to see how my predictions have fared. If the Lakers don't have at least 12 total wins after the game @Denver on December 30th, I will not post for an entire month.

Feel free to counter my prediction, let's see who comes the closest.
