Re: Would you take MVP of the League or the 100 Points
I'd aim for all of my teams FG's in a season, a hundred points is not enough.
So mvp.

Kobe has the highest scoring game ever recorded in the NBA and the highest scoring game by a wing player. Yet people say he did it against a bad team so it doesn't count & anyone could do it...
MVP > Scoring 100

100 points in the modern era would make Blake Griffin look like he's not even shooting a commercial. lol @ MVP = contract = more money.
The sheer amount of companies trying to market your 100 points towards their advertisement would be absurd. Overseas included.
Not to mention cementing your name in the basketball world forever

there is a guaranteed MVP every season. 100 points takes a special moment.

MVP easily..
I don't know why people make that big a deal out of the 100 point game. Counting the times he was fouled while shooting Wilt probably put up 75 shots in that game. Yeah he scored more then anyone ever for one game, he shot a lot more.
Rarely have players ever gone out there with the attitude of screw the team I am going to score as much as I can, its all about me.
Look what Gervin and Thompson did the one game in their career they played with that in mind..
Not sure why people can't grasp this?

Yes, because winning an MVP wouldn't cement your name in basketball forever?
81 isn't 100, but does anyone honestly really give a shit about Kobe's 81 other than Lakers fans? It was fun and all in the short term. No one talks about it anymore (other than Kobe stans). Jordan's 63 is more famous than Kobe's 81, and that 81 is only the second time anyone has gone over 80 in the history of the NBA.
This feels like a, would you rather get 250 grand right now or 1 million over 20 years type of question to me.

On 3/18/68 against the Lakers, Chamberlain hung a KNOWN 53-32-14, 24-29 FG/FGA (5-10 FT/FTA) game. I didn't post the estimates because even I am skeptical, but here they are... 24 blocks, and 11 steals.
BTW, on 2/24/67, Chamberlain hung a 42-30-10, 18-18 FG/FGA (6-14 FT/FTA) game, with an "estimated" 12 blocked shots.

Re: Would you take MVP of the League or the 100 Points
Eh depends. If it was 100 pts by Durant / Harden, I'd pick MVP. If 50 percent of your points came from FTs that's stupid as fcuk.

I honestly think 81 is more famous than Jordan's game.
