Lemme guess, you think the Frye contract was bad? I thought it was very reasonable if he replicates what he did last year for Phx.

Eh Payton looks solid and Gordon is a long term project who may have been a stretch at 4 though, he could be good or he could be rubbish I think 4 was too high to gamble like that personally but I'll wait and see how he goes. Frye contract adds someone who can actually shoot, if he stays healthy he is a benefit for a tanking team as it will allow us to play our young guys who can't shoot long range at the same time. They need to learn to play with someone who can spread the floor. His contract isn't long enough to hinder us long term. The Ben Gordon deal is a head scratcher but again it's short term and we were way under the minimum salary cap so they had the luxury to waste some cash that we would be losing anyway while getting someone who won't complain when they ride the bench and won't hinder us long term. Oladipo looks to be a solid pick from his draft class and harris and vucevic look to be diamonds in the rough from their trades. They still need to find an identity, pick up a go to scorer and likely part with some of the youngsters who fill the same roles but there's a reason ESPN ranked them as having the brightest future going forward in the East; they have young talent and assest, no big deals hampering them, an owner who's shown he isn't tight (even if Otis mis managed who to pay in the past), had the guts to gut the team and start from scratch and they have a recent history of success. Rebuilds are always a gamble and require players to hit potential but they seem to be on the right track so far.

All Fish saw his entire career was the side corner 3pt line but now he is forced to spoon feed the triangle offense which he was a not a general in. He is just an extension of Phil's crippled cash collecting ass.
