Default Trade Kobe Bryant

Seriously, do it now.
I know he's a hall of famer, one of lakers greats etc.
Im sick and tired of it:
- he did a great job of making sure Howard will not stay in LA (not passing the ball, stupid remarks via media), so he can play with Sacre and his dance next year, competing for 13th spot in the west with phoenix suns.

- most of plays, he is dribbling for 20 sec and then makes sth; what is the motivation for the other guys to play if bryant has 80 % of ball time?

What can we get for him?

Forget that. Why isn't anyone talking about what a really crappy offensive player Dwight Howard is? Doesn't convert on his lay ups. Doesn't rebound when he isn't happy, doesn't know how to rotate correctly when he faces a good passing team. Overrated, overhyped, the previous two....enough said.

Kobe isn't the problem here.

blame on the mutha fcuking coach to NOT have any offensive system to fit his players

onto Dwight Howard leaving??? I am happy about him leaving...

let me see on offensive end:
Zero Post Moves
Turns the ball over too much
Gets Stripped easily
Doesnt get deep post position
Doesnt seal his man
Complains...Complains...

on the defensive end:
Doesnt Rebound
doesnt play defense
body language is horrible from the O side

he is not somebody who is going to be the 1st option on a championship team

I have never in my life felt Dwight would ever be a 1st option on a championship team, he is just flat out NOT that type of guy......never going to happen. I disagree with you on the post moves issue but agree on everything else.....but I very strongly believe all those problems would go away if he had a coach he could respect.

Ok, let's say all of this happens, and according to you, we are "SET".
Does this mean "Antoni is going to win a championship in your opinion?
How did 'Antoni do when he did have Melo?........just as bad as he's doing right now right? I want your opinion on HOW you think things will be different

Do you actually think Melo or Lebron would play for 'Antoni?

I agree that Dwight will never be a first option player. But the problem is that he WANTS to be by default. Stupid stupid stupid. One of the dumbest players we've ever had to deal with. The day he leaves will be the day this team can finally focus on the future.

Harden/parsons? Please!!! I want that in a heart beat. Guys that can fill in spots and hit their shots. And no I was not trying to rhyme.

Do, to answer your question, not melo. Lebron could because he's a big point guard that can score. When Lebron runs, all his teammates run and hustle too. Great leader. I doubt Miami takes Dwight for Lebron though.

Dantoni isn't a bad coach, but like everyone else, he'll need a Kobe Bryant if he wants to win a championship. He's never had a great player on that suns team other than Nash, who was already past his prime during that time. Ask yourself this, what coach ever won a championship without at least one superstar?

For someone who plays basketball, its obvious that when smone dominate the ball so much, other 4 guys naturally tend to play with less energy.
("Why should I be active, i will not get the ball anyway").

I understand that dwight is playing like a crap this season, but this season is lost anyway. And you have to admitt, that in the past he played pretty well. Hes still young, and it is likely that he will get back to his old self.

I cannot see him playing alongside "media superstar" bryant. So he will leave, probably join houston, recover and be a force again.

And lakers will stay with 35y+ old bryant, Paul Gasoft fighting for 11 spot in the western conf.
Bryant will shoot 28.5 ppg, while the team will have 30-50 record or so.

The only way to keep Howard, is to trade Bryant. I know he has a no trade clouse, but maybe he would like to join some potential contender (nets?) and lakers would be able to get sth in return.

Imagine putting together dwight with lebron or sth like that.

My assumption was d'Toni is long gone before that.. I bet he wont survive this summer or next year or next summer before they sign melo/lebron

Ok, that makes sense then

I seriously hope they fire or buy him out when the season ends.
I don't think I can watch this crappy basketball for another season....and don't think Kobe would tolerate it either.

The things people post sometimes.... It would be insane to trade Kobe Bryant. I don't even want to waste my time on that one.

I also don't get the feeling Dwight is going to leave. There's a new CBA that starts after this season. It doesn't look like anybody would be able to pay him anywhere near what the Lakers can. He might not be the #1 option on a team because of his lack of offensive skill. He does need another go to scorer alongside him to win. But everybody needs another big time player in order to win. I think he could be part of a championship team.

Kobe today showed exactly why he is a great player, even though he only scored 4 points and had 8 turnovers. Through the drama that has been happening in laker land, he has been finding ways to get Dwight Howard the ball in the post. Didn't matter what was said in the past. Didn't matter that Dwight is hurt. If Kobe Bryant is anything, he is very well mannered, and because of this trait, he will always be a great player, even when he doesn't score on a night.
