Default Golden State waives Sarunas Jasikevicius

The AP reports:

The Golden State Warriors waived former Indiana Pacers guard Sarunas Jasikevicius on Thursday, agreeing to a contract buyout with the disgruntled player.

Jasikevicius joined the Warriors along with Stephen Jackson and Al Harrington in an eight-player trade with Indiana last January, but the Lithuanian point guard never cracked coach Don Nelson's rotation.

I hope the Cavaliers can offer him our team's MLE. He will be a much better upgrade than David Wesley and Agent Snow.

I'd be pretty damn surprised if that wasn't the intention in putting SJ in the title.

Anyways, I'm a fan of Sarunas. I haven't seen a ton of him, but he seems like a solid player who doesn't really do anything exceptionally but isn't exactly poor in any areas either. There are probably quite a few teams who I don't think would mind having a guy like him as the 7-8th man.

Can't say I agree with L23's MLE idea, but I can still see him being signed for half of it. Not a long contract, but at least something.

Mid 30s? What are you on... He just hit 31. That's around 4 years till he hits his mid 30s. Even Bryant is only 2 years younger than him.

With Pavlovic and Varejao possibly leaving Cleveland, they could use SJ.
