Default Dirk Nowitzki rejected four year 97 million dollars offer by the Rockets and Lakers

Dirk Nowitzki Passes Up Most Money In NBA History

Dallas Mavericks power forward Dirk Nowitzki may have taken that discount to new levels Tuesday after signing a shockingly small $25 million, three-year contract to stay in Dallas for his 17th-19th NBA seasons.

Nowitzki had max contract offers from the Houston Rockets and Los Angeles Lakers of $97 million over four years but was reportedly never interested in any offers outside Dallas. Instead, the 12-time All-Star voluntarily took a 65 percent pay cut, leaving over $72 million on the table. Let that sink in for a moment.

Would love to have him, but that's pretty alpha. Damn.

I'll give Spurs and Mavs credit though. They'll ride with their franchise players until the end of time. Rockets on the other hand will kick a nigga to the curb as soon as their franchise player shows any sign of falling off or being past their prime.
