Re: All-Heat team vs. All-Bulls team
We're using them as they played with the teams right? Because Heat Shaq, even the 04-05 one, was far more mortal than the Lakers version. Putting them all in prime would mean that guys like Parish and Iceman would be playing as well.

Gilmore over Noah for the Bulls... Artis gives them that very good scoring at the 5, great rebounder, pretty good shot-blocker, clearly better to deal with Shaq than Joakim due to strength and size.
Anyways, I'd say it's pretty even, either team could take it imho, I don't see no CLEAR advantage for either squad... But if you add a bench, Bulls definitely take it because of players like Bob Love, Ho Grant, Sloan, Kukoc, Van Lier, Chet Walker...
I think Miami have better players than those...Bosh, Ray Allen, Glen Rice, Steve Smith, Eddie Jones, Seikaly, etc.
I do agree that Miami team would be better with Bosh at the 4.

Re: All-Heat team vs. All-Bulls team
04-05 Shaq was a bit past his prime, the Bulls beat a better version of him in 1996.
I might put Pau Gasol in over Noah too ... with Rodman there you don't really need a ton more in terms of boards and he's a harder cover for Shaq because he'd have to come out to guard him.
PG - Rose
SG - Jordan
SF - Pippen
PF - Rodman
C - Gasol

True as it may, I think 04-05 Shaq has the advantage in much more experience. He (hopefully) would've figured out how the Bulls was able to cover him before and use it to his advantage to destroy that Gasol/Rodman frontline.

He was definitely slower, fatter, and less explosive by 2005. I don't think he would do any more damage than his 96 version did against Rodman + Longley. He'd have to actually guard Gasol too.
If '96 Shaq was on the Heat in 2005, they win the championship easy.
He gained too much weight by that point in his career.

Good luck scoring against Shaq - Zo frontcourt. Heat in 5.

First two paragraphs I agree. This conversation doesn't get interesting until you start filling out the bench. Anyway....Bulls baby!

Mental edge and toughness also much better in Bulls.
Heat might take a game or two, but I dont see how they outgrind Bulls in series.
I pick the Heat in 6 or 7 games. You are a Celtics fan. You probably remembered LeBron destroying your team in the 2012 NBA Playoffs.
