Default Michael Jordan. Age 34. 12-39 FGs

Not even trying to start a comparison, but since a big hoopla has been made about Kobe shooting 16-41, Check out MJ in the 97-98 season.

November 17th against the spurs he shot 12-39 and bulls won.

Jordan turned 35 just 3 months later, btw. At 34 (the '97 season), he was averaging 30 on 49% shooting.

    Longley, Harper, Brown, Caffey.

    Howard, Nash, Gasol, Morris.

One of these lineups is stacked with talent, one is not.

And he was playing with torn ligaments in his shooting finger.

Not trying to start a comparison but then you bring up the names Jordan and Kobe in the same sentence. You clearly were starting a comparison

Actually little p*ssy, Jordan had already come off a season playing at 34. Try again.

So what? He played at 35 the bulk of that '98 season. You Kobe fans are seriously challenged.

In Jordan's defense, look at the starting 5. Wow, I bet the complete defensive focus was on him. He also played 48 minutes. He also technically shot better than the rest of the team combined.

Jordan was 1st option on offense throughout his career at the bulls. Kobe has forced himself to be number 1 option in this team over the last few years, particularly this season, there's a difference.

Jordan was also a career 50% from the field. For every 12/39 game, he would back it up with a 17/28 or 15/26 game...

Whenever Jordan played, you never got that feeling he was chucking the ball, or not playing within the offense. He would nearly always play to the game and what is needed at the time. Kobe doesn't really do that, his adjustments are poor and he chooses to shoot more if the team is playing bad.

jordan's last season he shot 46.5% and chucked quite a bit. he was mostly a jump shooter in 98. kobe's shooting a slightly better percentage at 34 despite the fact he's taking 4 more 3 pointers a game

and kobe at 34 is a lot older than jordan at 34. he's played like 250 more total games

To be fair, Longley scored 17, Kukoc had 12, and Rodman had 22 rebounds. Id even go so far to say that the Bulls starters were the equals to the Lakers offensively

46.5 is a good year for Kobe

Jordan shot 48% the rest of the 1998 season after the first dozen games or so as he adjusted his shooting form to accommodate the cracked knuckle and torn ligament on the index finger of his shooting hand.

Chucked in 98? : Led his team to a 62-20 record, then eventual champions.

46.5% is Kobe's most efficient year : Well it's 46.9% but pretty similar nonetheless.
