The scoring title will come down between LeBron James, who is at 29.8 points a game and Kevin Durant at 29.7.

Both men have played 70 games and James has just seven more total points, 2,086 to Durant's 2,077.

Durant has already said he thinks James will win. James says he doesn't care and, if he did, he'd win the scoring race every year.

"If it happens, it happens, it is not important to me at all," said James, who won the scoring title in the 2007-08 season and at 27.8 points a game is currently the active leader in career scoring average.

"Our team is trying to clinch (homecourt advantage) for the whole playoffs and is more important. If I really wanted to, I if really wanted to win the scoring title I could win it every single year," James said. "Every single year, I could really do it. But it doesn't matter to me."

i don't doubt his comment to be honest. he's not trying to lead the league in scoring and yet he is. he could average over 30 a game if he decided to be selfish.

Because he's arrogant. It's kind of counterproductive to what Lebron23 is saying actually. He is a good passer who wants it to be recognized that he passes when he could be shooting more. It's kind of like someone who does charity work and takes pictures and broadcasts it to everyone he can.

Lebron could easily score 30 ppg every year but he's too unselfish. I've seen numerous games this season where lebron doesn't even look interested in scoring but instead goes into point guard mode and just racks up the ast. There have been so many games where Lebron has been in the zone and instead of keeping up the attact he stops shooting and goes into passing mode. He's the most unselfish 30 ppg type scorer in the league hands down. Only Wade is similar.
