Default An early look at the eastern conference

After the first week or so, the east is already starting to take shape.

I think there are 6 teams that we can (barring injuries) assume will be playoff teams in the east.
    In no particular order.
cavs, heat, bulls, Wizards, Raptors, Hawks

Then there is a group of teams that should be fighting for the 7th and 8th spots. Pistons (great start) Bucks (injured and struggling) Celts (looking like a team without any star power) Pacers (trying to establish who they are) Hornets (looking to stay in the race for playoffs ) Knicks (looking like they will be in the race for the long haul. Magic (young but not sure how to win yet)

What are your guys thoughts on the east race?
Personally, as a raps fan, I feel like we haven't proven we can win in the playoffs in the last 2 years. This team is constructed a bit different and more set up for a playoff series with their off season changes. The cavs are the clear favorites, imo, and the other 5 teams kind of lump together as a second tier in the east. My early guess for the 7th and 8th spots would be the pistons and knicks. Thoughts?

So, who gets the 7 and 8 spots?
