Default Yao feels iffy on Artest trade. And Artest responds to it

    http://www.insidehoops.com/nba_rumors.shtml

"We worry about the new attitude to the team. We are adding talent to the team and we need that, but building team chemistry is important. This is not bad. I don't mean he is not welcome to Houston. But a new player always needs some time.

"Also, he was the biggest part of a team in Sacramento. He was a star player. We need more chemistry and more communication.
"There's worry. Obviously, yes. We will think about it, of course. Hopefully, he's not fighting anymore and going after a guy in the stands.

80% of the problems in the world start from poor communication.

Comments like this give us a glimpse of why he never made it out of the first round...At least give him a chance before whining to the media...

Yao is absolutely right. When both healthy, Yao and T'Mac are a great combo and it is too bad that we haven't had the chance to see them reaching that potential yet due to all the injuries. Theoretically, if both healthy, they are one of the top team next year and who knows what they can accomplish together. Adding Ron means a lot of changes (in terms of the game plan) and it is hard to say that in the end, if this addition would be a "plus" or a "minus" to what they had.

adding ron artest & joey dorsey to a team ive thought to be a little soft is a great offseason- they still have to get better at point gaurd somehow to become championship caliber imo

dorsey will be a 2nd rd "suprise" factor

if this is true..what was the need for the whining before hand...Yao sounds like a softie. Couldnt imagine a real leader saying some stuff like that. He should be have no qualms about bringing Ron Artest on the team. He should be jumping with joy. What the worst that happens, he loses in the first round?? he has been there before and Im sure he is used to it. Maybe having Artest will toughen him up and in the last 2 minutes of a game he will stop shooting baseline fadeaways over 6"10 guys..

    Does that really translate? LOL.

Yao VS. Artest in a fight...would you really put money on Artest? Imagine Yao kicking someone...
