It was a few minutes after a playoffs game IN the NBA arena and NBA milti-millionaire STAR was filmed by a media. Yeah this was a weird situation....

agree with your 'you are going to be filmed in public' call but this looks backstage/players area where rondo is entitled to defend his family's privacy against pest photographers IMO
    WTF

He was not filmed in his backyard. It was happening in NBA arena. He wants privacy for his family? They can wait for him outside or in the hotel room (if they were not headed straigh back to Boston after the game).

Which the cameramen clearly had access to. So it is not some private spot of his where he can demand that type of thing . Deal with it, or don't bring your family along.

Just curious: Does anyone view this as being somehow important?

I think the tape shows how he deals with it.

he did deal with it, you saw the clip right?

he's got a highly public profile, yes, but does that mean he can't tell someone to stop filming him and his family so they can have a private moment in a very public place?

He can tell them. It just won't happen, because the cameraman doesn't need to. That is what he needs to deal with.

If he can't cope with something as basic as this, he will never grow into a superstar.

If he can't develop a consistent jumper he won't be a superstar. If cameras piss him off when he wants a private moment with his family then he's just one of a million celebrities that doesn't want to be taped all the time. Do you think this somehow really matters?

Maybe you don't get it, but being a superstar means being able to cope with the media and paparazzi. You can become a superstar by dominating on the court but you won't grow into one as long as you let this shit get to you.

You talk about coping as if this is a major incident. Did he kick him in the nads like Rodman? Was there an insulting tirade? Does Rondo have a history of off-court incidents? Or did he firmly tell the cameraman to stop taping him? There's a reason why the TNT analysts just laughed at the whole thing. Barkley and O'Neal have probably even been in his shoes before. He didn't want to be filmed. This is not going to keep him from being a great player. The inability to be a guy you can count on to hit the game-winning shot, that's an important flaw. This? Please.

I thought this thread was about his behavior off the court? Why do you keep bringing his Basketball flaws into this? As I said in my post he can become a superstar on the court but being a superstar off the court is a whole different beast. Is it too complex for you to understand this cause it is really simple.
