Look at all these morons here thinking they know 100% certain the ball is in the Spur's court. Pure, unadulterated retardation.
If the rumors are true and Kawhi wants to go to the Lakers. The Lakers can get away with murder on this trade. Kawhi can basically make the Spurs take a lopsided deal. They either take what the Lakers give them, or he sits, doesn't resign after next year and they get jack shyt.
IF Kawhi wants to go the Lakers. Randle will be gone, but Ingram, Ball and Kuzma will stay. The Lakers could give up Hart, but I'm not sure if the Spurs really need him.
The whole idea that the Lakers can fleece SA is laughable. Kawhi sitting or pouting his way out of SA doesn't in any way play into LA's hands.
Its as if some of you think that because Kawussy wants to go to LA that other teams wouldn't take a risk on him or rent him to clear cap space.
His expiring deal alone would net more from a team looking to clear cap space than a lopsided deal with LA ever would.
Its definitely going to take Kuzma and either Randle or Ingram plus picks. Probably going to take a 3 team deal to be honest.
If not LA any deal for SA would involve receiving a proven young talent, a top 14 pick and taking Gasol or Mills off their hands. That Gasol deal is a disaster.
The Spurs are going to get a huge package for this kid, most likely after the lottery and before the draft or wait him out until the trade deadline and move his expiring deal out east for the best rental deal they can find.
Kawhit put SAS in a wayyyyy worse situation than Kywit did with the Cavs last summer
Cleveland could have atleast forced Irving to play and hang around if they wanted
OTOH, we've already know for 100% fact Leonard will be annexed somewhere in Antarctica if he's on the Spurs roster next year. Kwitter refuses to even pout on the bench and wave a towel for his own team during the playoffs
the report says that Leonard wants to play in L.A.
didn't even say it was the lakers.... and there are tow teams in L.A
Another report says the Clippers are willing to throw in as much as it takes for leonard which means the Lakers would have to beat that offer.. which means letting spurs virtually choose what they want from the lakers roster... Leonard is under contract next season anyways so if he did become available via trade you can guarantee half the league would be putting an offer together for him.
If spurs trade leonard this offseason that are getting a boat load of talent/picks back no matter what
