Default Rumor: Hawks in discussion to send Jeff Teague to Houston

An insider on the Hawks forum has said that this is being discussed. Atlanta apparently really likes Dennis Schroeder and wouldn't mind trading Jeff Teague.

If the trade does in fact go down, the Rockets will get Teague and the Hawks get Patrick Beverley and the 1st round pick Rockets got from Pelicans.

The Hawks have a number of valuable assets on deck. Not saying I'm a proponent of this particular trade but they could blow it up and yield all types of return. Teague, Korver, Horford, Milsap....

I've been saying that HOU should seek Teague + Millsap- they'd have a very solid starting 5 then. I think the Pellies' first is enough though for just Teague (Bev would be nice off the bench for HOU).

I'm not entirely sure Millsap is sticking around in ATL, so HOU should ask about him.

i dont understand why the hawks would do this. trade a very nice point guard, borderline allstar so far this year, for a bench player and hope that dennis becomes a great player? or are they going to start beverly, which would make even less sense? hawks are a solid playoff team, 4 or 5 seed imo. I just don't see it.

Teague just had a 28/6 game and is having his best season.

Why on earth would Coach Bud trade him for a borderline starting PG and non-guaranteed 1st pick?

This rumor was made by a Rocket's fan.

calling it now; if they do this, houston gets worse. Beverly is the real leader of the team.

Millsap in Houston would be perfect. He's the kind of PF we've been looking for, for a very long time now. He can help stretch the floor so it can give Dwight some space to score in the post and he can also put the ball in the bucket in a number of ways. The only sad part is, I don't think we can give the Hawks what they want for Millsap.

Rockets can probably get Teague but it'll definitely take more than just Bev and the Pelicans' 1st round pick.

In all honesty, ATL should blow it up. They will never get out of the second round. They need to move on and ship out the remains of the JJ/J Smooth era. I love Teagues game and he can be a great asset. Horford is injury prone. Bottom line is no big FA is coming and they aren't bad enough to get a good pick. They are stuck.
