Default LBJ to enter top 10 scorers in NBA history

LeBron sits at 25,084, and assuming he plays 70 more games @ 25 points per game he will rise to 26834, just shy of Hakeem's #10 spot (26946).

If LeBron scores 1862 in 73 games, at 25.5 ppg he will pass Hakeem.

Amazing scorer. Top 10 all-time in NBA history

    Will he pass MJ?

    Kobe?

    Kareem?

Barring some catastrophic injury, he'll absolutely get Top 10 all-time in the next year or two. After that, getting up into that 1500-1600+ games played stratosphere will be very, very tough considering the mileage he's already accumulated.

Yes sir, we will start to see a drop off.

I imagine something like 72 games at 24 ppg next season and then slowly declining from there.

    2017 season (72 games @ 24 ppg) 1728
    2018 season (70 games @ 23 ppg) 1610
    2019 season (69 games @ 22 ppg) 1518

Fair numbers and doable (4856) in the next 3 years. So, barring injuries, with modest figures he will be at 26946 + 4856 = 31802 (#5 all time, knocking Wilt out of the top 5). From there he has a tall mountain to climb if he wants to be #1, but I think top 3 is doable, just behind Kareem and Karl Malone).

Then why were Kobe's ppg/asst/reb against Eastern teams historically all lower than vs. Western teams.

If you want to stat pad the West is the place to be. Notice how the Warriors are supposed to be some defensive juggernaut, yet even they give up well over 100 ppg.
If Bron had played his entire career in the West he'd likely already be in the top 10 in scoring.

Bron looks like a damn robot out there with all those mechanical moves. A top 10 scorer of all time? Pretty good for a tin man.

No kidding. Kevin Love went from an incredibly efficient 26/13/4 player in the West to simply a 16/10/2 player in the East.

    West is weak as ****

He can't even shoot over 45% in the no defense playing West. Had he played in the East he would have shot below 40%.
