If you had decided quickly and decisively that you weren't going to take any more of his shit after he pushed you the first time and just laid his ass out and started wailing on him repeatedly, I'm sure that things would have gone in your favor.

I'm not saying that you SHOULD have done that, I'm saying you very easily COULD have done that if that's what you wanted.

As for what you SHOULD do... only you can answer that question. It seems to me, however, that you wanted to punch him and just couldn't bring your confidence to the level required to do so.

What would I have done? As you did... walked away. Some drunk idiot isn't worth it, even if I am able to quickly punch his face in.

Always begin a fisctacuffs engagement with a pimp slap. Never throw the first punch, or you could ruin your own life just as easily if the guy drops and cracks his head. Smack him and when he retaliates, start wailing. Once youre both throwing punches you have less liability. If he does nothing after you slap him across the face it is also a moral victory.

Only brutes with no brains or restraint throw random haymakers. Those types of dumb animals usually end up in prison before theyre 30.
