Re: Do people really think Lebron can surpass Jordan?
Honestly, when I think of Bulls finals moments, I think of these too:

That doesn't take away from Jordan's performance at all. LeBron killed it in game 7 and hit the dagger.
Edit: Also, technically speaking, it's better to NOT NEED big clutch shots in the finals. Heat beat the Thunder in 5 games. It's better to do that, then to rely on some last minute clutch shots in game 6-7.

I wonder how that compares to other all time greats.
Btw Who's that in your avy???
Some random chick.
Let's wait for a 3peat first. That itself is insane to do.

Not necessarily agreeing with the poster u quoted but let's have some context. Bron missed the playoffs leading a team that only won 17 games the year prior. I would argue he made improved the Cavs too soon. Heck his 2nd year they missed the playoffs by one game and probably would of snuck in if Boston benched their players vs. Cle like they did vs. The 8th seeded team. Also think more credit is deserving for the teams that won those series.

And btw, Kobe's the only player since MJ in 91 to average 32+ ppg 7+ apg in a Finals series. Lebron's career finals fg% is slightly higher than Kobe's, yet he played 0 Finals series when handchecking was legal, Kobed played in 4 Finals during the handcheck era.
Wow, you really think they dared him to take that dagger at the end? you should really try watching the games instead of staring at box scores all day

No. Ever since that 2007 finals series, I knew. It was incredible how he carried his team there and all that, but watching the Spurs totally own his soul was a revelation. 2011 confirmed it. Granted, he's been amazing since then. He's compensated big time and he's almost a lock for top 5-7. But get MJ out of your head, Lebron is NOT surpassing MJ.

He had his own fair share of bumbles in the playoffs.
+1
Jordan missed the playoffs a few times and lost in the first round 3 times, but somehow winning a conference title is worse than that. These MJ fan boys have such strange logic.

You might want to check your facts. Jordan never missed the playoffs on the Bulls.

Re: Do people really think Lebron can surpass Jordan?
LeBron showed hes able to make teammates better on a whole nother level than MJ.
he never got bounced in the first round and his 2007 finals run at age 21 makes up for his shit performance in the 2011 finals vs a great mavs team. he also had problems with Wade on who is the main man.
ever since that lebron showed a dominance and all around game jordan never had.
yes Jordan is great and top 4 player but LeBron has more accomplishments at a younger age as well as more rings. hes the better player too.
if he keeps winning he will surpass jordan. if not he will fall just short.
hes a lock for top 5 tho

Except before that shot, Jordan had scored all 16 of the Bulls' 4th quarter points, whereas before Ray Allen's shot, Lebron had turned the ball over twice and missed 3 shots all in the final 1:30, and been basically invisible the entire 4th. So yeah...not really equivalent. The Bulls weren't facing elimination that game, either.

Lol Jordan averaged 11apg in 91, that's way higher than Bron you turd...
And lol at his "run" to the finals, that shit don't matter boy, he got swept, nobody remembers that cheesy ass run.
And while Bron has more accomplished at a younger age, that's irrelevant due to the fact that he came into the league 3 years younger you turd. What's the accomplishments and stats after the same number of seasons tho?

Same thing with Lebron game 6 he willed his team to have a chance to win at the end. Without his 4th quarter performance Ray Allen shot wouldn't have mattered.

of course you disregard the fact that LeBron went on a run in the third to get his team back in the game after being down 13. You also disregard the fact that he made the 3 before Allen's. And then of course you disregard LeBron's great performances like Game 7 (highest pressure game), or his series against OKC where he ended it with a triple double.
