Kevin Garnett out for playoffs

I just heard Doc say on the local Boston sports radio station that KG is most likely done for the duration of the playoffs.

In an interview this morning on Boston sports radio station WEEI, Celtics coach Doc Rivers said it was likely that Kevin Garnett would not be ready to play at all in the playoffs. "After today there's no way he can play," said Rivers, who left open the possibility his star could return at some point in the postseason but was not optimistic.

Well, on the bright side, it makes the Chi series much more interesting. The Bulls could do this.

This is the same team who did very well without KG and still secured a #2 seed..Do I think we are a better team with KG? Of course,but I still think we can win it all without him also(staying optimistic)..Rondo and Perk have got alot better since last year and so has Big Baby and Leon Powe..We have still have 2 HOF's in Pierce and Allen..I am not giving up hope by any means..We can still do this..I do think KG will play in the ECF if we make it.

Despite the discouraging news about Garnett, Rivers was positive about the team moving on without him: "I think we're going to be fine ... we have some mentally strong guys, very tough guys."
