Why a flagrant rather than a technical?

That was honestly the weakest flagrant call I have ever seen. I could actually understand a technical. They got in each other's faces, Green flung his arm at LeBron when he stood up. But he forearmed LeBron in the ass and got a flagrant? He may have been going for the balls, but he clearly didn't hit him there if that was the goal, and definitely should not have been a flagrant.

It was the best game the Finals so far, but completely agree with you that this damages the series. I also don't remember hearing anything about "The league is going to have to look at this to see if it is worthy of a flagrant" at least until LeBron was butt hurt on the podium.

This ruling is nothing more than a microcosm of what is happening in the league today. Sure stars got their calls in the past, but LeBron has the referees in his backpocket for the longest of time. Seriously, this guy stiff arms defenders, get hit by his teammates and the other team gets called for the foul. This man is a demonstration of the decline of manhood in the 21st century.

And a player who has repeatedly hit his opposition in the nethers all playoffs long is FINALLY being held to account.

He didn't even get suspended for this clear violation (Dahntay got a F2 for doing less just a few weeks ago). He merely got a flagrant 1. It was the takedown in the first round, the kick to the balls of Adams, etc that led to the suspension.
