Dwight was only good in the post when he had 4 shooters spacing the floor for him. He's always been best in the PnR and off garbage buckets. His defense has always been his best attribute.
Having a big man who is a dominant man and team defender, who can run in transition, has good hands, and is great in PnR is SUPER valuable. But he isn't a great one on one scorer. There are plenty of great one on one scorers worth a lot less than Dwight. A lot of folks are stuck in the paradigm that your best player has to be an alpha dog scorer, on top of everything else he does. It's not the case. Genetics.
Genetics is responsible for far more than people realize.
There is no secret to having tree trunk legs like Shaq and Yao. These guys all have access to the best trainers, nutritionists who optimize their training to maximize their performance. These guys all have access to the 80%. That extra 20% is what your genetic makeup is.
