Re: In a draft: Chris Paul or Anthony Davis
I'm pretty sure Davis would have been selected ahead of Paul if they were both drafted at the ages they came into the draft.

Davis and its not even close.

Re: In a draft: Chris Paul or Anthony Davis
2009 Chris Paul is still better than Anthony Davis' best season.
Give me CP3

Is this a serious question?
Always take the elite big man, unless we're talking about an MJ or Magic caliber guard. Davis at 21 years of age had a 30.8 PER. How many players in history have had that?
24.4/10.2/2.9 blocks on 54%
I'm taking that over any PG in the league, even Westbrook.

Last year, only 4 players had a higher PER than Whiteside.
Also guys like Duncan, Kobe, Dirk never had 30 PER so what does it really mean? Paul actually had a 30 PER.

Seeing as how Bogut was drafted ahead of Paul, I'd say yes.

Re: In a draft: Chris Paul or Anthony Davis
Anthony Davis isn't an elite big man when talking All-Time. He is a great statsheet stuffer, though.
When he can develop enough to win one playoff game when being defended by a 6'6" PF then I'll take him, but right now he isn't he ready.

to be fair, most elite all time big men were still in college at his age or just rookies

Yeah, but you take PER and also look at their other stats. Davis's stats at 21 years of age has to rank up there pretty high all-time.

They're great for for his age. Statistically, 09 Paul is still better
23/5.5/11/3stls on 50% shooting...30 PER
lead league in assists and steals
3rd in PER to all time season LeBron and peaking Wade
top 3 in almost all advanced stats

They didn't lose because of him. His team was injured and the rest didn't show up. Thats like saying Mj didn't play good in 86 because they lose.

PG shooting 50% >>>>>>>> big shooting 54 off lobs and transition
PER is barely higher and PER means nothing. You might as well say 2015 Davis is better than any version of Duncan and Kobe

Nope we are comparing cp and AD thats it. Ad was also a +4 defensively. I would choose Ad over him and AD had the better playoffs and not to mention AD is younger and did it in his 3rd season
