Kawhi Leonard: Most overrated player in the league?

A case could be made that Leonard isn't top 5 (not a case I like), but Davis has no case over Leonard whatsoever.

btw, Durant had a total meltdown vs GSW, shooting like 28% for the playoffs.

Durant is on another level offensively. It's not close.

And Kawhi hasn't proven anything as the clear-cut guy on his team in the playoffs. His championship run he was just another key cog in the Spurs machine who happened to get hot in the finals. Even Danny Green at one point was looking like he had FMVP potential the year before. Kawhi took over as the top player in their title defense year...choked HARD in the first round, then this year disappeared in 4th quarters to blow the series against OKC. His resume as a first option is nothing special at all.

With Timmy gone this is his first year s the clear leader of the Spurs.
If the Spurs still win 60+ games and make the WCF he's 4th after the Big 3.
If the Spurs are really underwhelming (50ish win team and 1st/2nd round exit) he'll be middle of the pack of the top 10 behind CP3, Paul George, Westbrook...

I think this is probably the best assessment of Kawhi. The issues in the OKC series is he couldn't take games over offensively at all. The best of the best all can other than Green. But both Green and him are elite defenders that offer a good amount in several aspects.

Curious to see how he does this season, but as of now he's just a bit overrated while still being top 5 (being the 5th best).

It's ok, Milbuck fantasizes about Giannis becoming half the player Kawhi is. He has been on an anti-Kawhi crusade for a while now.

Giannis is a beast with a broken shot and Kawhi is the complete package.
