No his defense was too poor for him to have a top 10 prime. Offense is half the game, defense is the other half. You don't see any other player with below average defensive game in the top 10 primes for a good reason.

The game is not devided by Scoring and Defense. The Game has alot more details like that of Creating for Himself and Others, Passing, Fundamentals, Rebounding, Efficiently Scoring etc

In terms of Defense Charles had a 105 (Season) and 107 (Play-Offs) DRT thats not bad at all. Its above average

Malone had a DRT of 101 (Season) and 103 (Play-Offs) Slightly Better Defender

In terms of ORT Charles had 119 (SeasoN) and 118 (Play-Offs)

Thats ALOT Better than Karl Malone 113 (Season) and 106 (Play-Offs)

The margin goes to Barkley again asa Better Player.
