Default What should the Hawks offer their off-contract players?

    Millsap: 12-14mil per/3yrs

    Carroll: 5-6m per/3yrs

    Antic 1.5-3m per/2yrs

Would never sign Millsap to that contract, I'd rather let him walk and try and sign someone like Hibbert so Horford can start at the 4.

Look at what players are making 12-14 a year. Paul is gonna get paid. He's eventually getting about 18, 19million, on a given season. Sounds crazy but look at the players out there and what they get. He's a proven player.

    WAT?

Millsap's flexibility is one of the driving forces of this team. But you don't want to offer him 75% of Gordon Hayward money?

I get that he is inconsistent but they are at their best when the opposing team has a 4 that can't beat Millsap and gets gutted defensively.

Hibbert doesn't fit into the offense.
He can post up, but he doesn't have an outside shot, and hasn't developed his passing skills very well.

Take all that money and give it to M.Gasol. Gasol & Horford would be very fantastic

Gasol would be great. Horford can never be all star level playing center. He needs to be a 4. They really need an upgrade at SF. Carroll is nice, but korver will start to regress soon at his age, so they need a true scorer at the 3.

We'd give Gasol a max deal in a heartbeat, problem is so would the Grizzlies, Knicks, Lakers, and just about anybody else with the cap room for it.

Need to offer Antic the max if you want him to stay in that blackhole of fandom known as Atlanta.

Luckily they can swap picks with the Nets this year, I think. If Brooklyn stays in the 14-15 spot range in the draft, ATL can get a pretty nice SF then. Carroll would be nice to re-sign to keep as part of the rotation though due to his familiarity with the system and whatnot.
