The problem with Rose was never him retaining his athleticism/physical game...we've gotten to the point where full recoveries from ACL and meniscus injuries are fairly common, and he's got the work ethic to be another case of that. The issue is preventing another injury, which would require him to change his game. It's good to see him showing his pre-injury explosiveness..but I hope he's been working on his jumper.
I will say though..if he's back to MVP form, the Bulls are on Spurs/Thunder level.

A healthy Derrick Rose is easily one of the most exciting players in the league. Hopefully he stays healthy and has a great season.
