    - Bird was a great player......but....hugely Overrated by the fans online.....If Lebron only scored 8 points in back 2 back Finals games he would be made fun of to no end...

but if youmake a thread about Bird doing it ( because he did) it becomes Banworthy.

I agree, don't know why Bird can't be talked about.

They get all mad when I say he's an era specific player.

    Bird is off limits.

    you've been warned.

    please take it seriously.

He is a top 5 GOATs ever.

He is GOAT as a player.

He is GOAT as a Head Coach. (took IND to two finals in just 3 yrs as head coach in NBA's toughest era)

He is GOAT as GM. (Bird "built" not "Bought" IND is about to knock off LBJ in Game 7)

compare this to Jordan as Bobcat owner.

GOAT as player. (keep lid on jordan, Bad boys)

GOAT as IND head coach. (compare this to Magic's coaching stint)

GOAT as GM. (compare that to bobcat MJ.

Bird dominated in an era with MJ, Magic and other greats. I don't see why he won't be able to dominate today.

It will be like people saying prime Dirk won't be able to dominate in 2030 due to the "Modern Athlete"

Bird would basically be a more complete Durant which is scary.

Jordan asked numerous time in the interviews the first player he would pick to make his own team.

MJ always answered without any hesitation: "LARRY BIRD"

Bird was a stone cold ruthless assassin as they come. tough as a nail. brutal. but on the outside, just another nice & well cultured white guy on the floor!

Questions that need to be asked:

Can Bird get a roster spot in today's league?

    Does he even get drafted?

That was MJ being politically correct.

Like when I was at a BBQ and the topic of basketball comes up....I say Larry Bird too. It depends on what kind of people you are around.
