    Default Maybe Euroleague is right?

I used to think Euroleague is a troll that should be ignored, like most people here, but lately, i have been second-guessing myself.

First, Euroleague proved us wrong with the possible new coach for the Detroit Pistons, and NOW...

Pablo Prigioni is the starting PG for the knicks, in one of the most stacked eras for point guards in NBA history

    PABLO PRIGIONI

He is 36 years old, and is the starting point guard!

Maybe Euroleague is right? Some of these europeans can really ball...

Prigioni, Ricky Rubio, Marc Gasol, Nikola Vucevic (he had a 30-30 game), Pekovic...

Maybe V-Span is better than we thought?

No because he claims the Euroleague is better than the NBA. A few good players means nothing.

That's 2 reasons. It doesn't undo the other 1 or 2 hundred reasons he shouldn't be taken seriously. It's not that he's wrong about European players being good. It's the extremes he goes to to downplay the NBA, prop-up Euroleague and anything related to Greece, and the way he constantly berates posters calling them liars, racists, delusional, psychotic, etc. that makes him unlikable.

And, on top of all that, he's an American that apparently hates his own country.

Huh? Yes, the good players come to the NBA, and the garbage stays there or comes here and fails then goes over there.

    The End.

After watching both it seems that the Euroleague players are much more skilled and Fundamentally better then a lot of the NBA players.
If you take away the Athleticism of a lot of the players in the NBA would they really deserve to be there?
And not having the same level of Athleticism we see in the NBA players, the Euro players work on playing the game without jumping 40" high.
That being said, It is far more entertaining watching the high speed high flying NBA game

Prigioni is legit. I like him. Can't believe no one picked him up 5+ years ago...

How many of the top American prospects skip/leave the NBA to go play in the euroleague instead?

People don't like Euroleague because he makes ridiculous claims just to troll everyone, but he actually knows his stuff when talking about European basketball.

However, the stuff that he says and makes up to try and compare Euroleague players to the top NBA players is pretty silly, and most of the stuff he says shouldn't really be taken seriously.

you are wrong.they don t go to the nba because its a better league in terms of competitiveness.the nba is global.its promoted this way.more publicity more money etc.heck the winner they call it world champion.it s not world champion it s nba champion.but they promote it that way.don t be fooled europlayers can ball.spannoulis is good.solid roleplayer for nba and if he develops solid 6th player for pg/sg.but very low iq
its really simple you want show?watch nba where a player can take 4 steps and not be called for travelling but you are guaranteed to see amazing plays that make you jump over your seat
you want pure basketball?watch euroleague.by pure i mean where a team is allowed to play zone against players who can t shoot.its far more tactical than nba

He is right many times. Not always, but very often.

Why don't you check out the official Spanish League forums?

They regularly have threads there about Rubio, where whole bunches of people say he sucks.

You do realize that the Spanish speaking world also has basketball forums right?

What is the overall point you try to make on this forum? I get confused, because you dance all over the place.

Is it seriously that Euroleague > the NBA?
