It is rather remarkable how little opposing fans are scared of LeBron in the Finals, relative to all of the other great players that he thinks he is ahead of on all the all time lists

If you are a basketball fan, you'd shit your pants knowing that your team was facing off against MJ, Duncan, Kobe, Dirk, Wade, etc. in the finals if those guys were in their prime.

But in LeBrons prime he has gotten outplayed by roleplayers in the finals what, 2 to 3 times now? Not to mention the moments where guys like Boris fukking Diaw literally lock him up, or where he has b2b turnovers and misses two threes but gets bailed out by Ray Allen

And with Lebron getting outplayed by role players, successfully guarded by Diaw, and completely shut down by teams that aren't that athletic (Spurs, Dallas), it's laughable to think that he could do better in other eras, especially given the tougher playing environments of other eras.

If anything, it was Spurs team defense, but in reality not even that helped them against Lebron, he did his thing anytime..... that wasnt the problem, the problem was how the Heat defended the Spurs....

From the games I saw, Diaw was hardly ever LeBron's primary defender. Then when he was, there was tons of help ready. I can't say he shut LeBron down, but he made him work. That's all you can really ask for. It's funny how these so called basketball enthusiasts make every win or loss about 1 person.
