Default the cost to train with Hakeem in the offseason

    $50,000 a week.

    Alan Hahn:

Stoudemire will spend two weeks with Hakeem Olajuwon in Houston next month. The cost of learning The Dream Shake? $50,000 a week is what we were told. Now, we don't know of Olajuwon is charging Stoudemire full price, but Amar'e plans to get bang for his buck. He said he plans to memorize every lesson so he can expand his game to include one or two go-to moves on the post. Stoudemire has been known as mostly a pick-and-roll player who developed a mid-range jumper in 2010-11. Mike Woodson wanted him to be more of a threat in the post, so he asked his former Rockets teammate to spend some time with Stoudemire. Tyson Chandler is also expected to spend some time with Olajuwon after the Olympics.

I've only heard about Kobe and Howard, and they both improved.

Hell yeah. Kobe, Dwight, and LeBron all have improved.

Kobe didn't improve because of Hakeem, LeBron still hasn't shown much and Dwight has trained with other people.

What's your basis for saying Kobe hasn't improved?

Lebron definitely improved and Dwight as well after spending time with Olajuwon.

Watch Heat games from 2011, and old Cavs games. Lebron is a different player with his back to the basket.

Dwight and LeBron both improved their post moves/footwork significantly after training with Hakeem. Naturally, most of it is due to the hours they spent in the gym perfecting the moves he showed them and applying his advice, not the actual hours spent with him.

LeBron even did the dream shake once during these Finals. Bit of an awkward version, but it worked. It was a nice moment.

I don't think Lebron has better technique. He just refused prior to this year to go into the post.

Damn, easy way to make money.
For NBA players that's nothing though, so good deal for them.

Wait, in the Dwight videos, Hakeem said he was doing it for free. Did he change his mind when seeing how much he could make ?

eh, he deserves it. he was getting paid peanuts during his playing days, compared to players today.

Kobe improved, but it's more thanks to his work ethic. Lebron still has a long way to go. Howard is still raw.
