If you are black, you are guilty. I thought this was common knowledge

Its tragic. I have a lot of problems with how the death penalty is carried out in practice. My version of the death penalty if I was an absolute ruler would be very different.
I have skimmed 1 article on this case. from what I gathered this kid was accused of killing 2 girls. The cops provided no evidence except the claimed that he confessed. His defense lawyer did not cross examine any of the cops and only allowed him to speak at his trial while offering no evidence.
Later the real killer on his death bead confessed right? The real killer was from a rich well connected family.
Its very tragic, and america during that era was excessively discriminatory against blacks. Lynchings during that era was common in the south.

But when it comes to how American Whites have prosecuted innocent American Blacks for about 300 years, and no one cares.
Of course. How convienent
I care. Personally I think a lot of these problems have been solved. There has been a lot of progress imo. Not saying its perfect but I think most of the problems poor black communities face are more a result of economic conditions than their skin color. pre-1980s I think it was more to do with their skin color.

Re: Youngest Person Ever Executed In The US Found Innocent
The problem is that American Blacks are not seen on equal status as American Whites by American Whites. So therefore any issues that soley pertain to them are undermined or reduced to cliche anecdotes responses

1940s america is almost a totally different country for america today.
-racism, jim crow
-japanese internment camps
- etc
Just look at the way america waged war in 1940s compared today. today a US marine shoots civilians in Afghanistan and gets put on trial. in the 1940s the US ordered the fire bombing of Tokyo and Dresden.

They're not seen as equal status because they aren't. What delusional fantasy land are you living in that makes a group of people equal to the next?
Blacks as a whole commit more crime! It's factual reality. They're not equal. Doesn't mean they're worse or better, they're just not equal

It should affect you. American killing innocent Americans based on nothing.
That's the issue... race is hard to talk about because usually it resorts in cliche responses to absolve a crime against a group of people that will take centuries to recover from.
It's a very simple concept to grasp

This was a long time ago. Beheadings are happening now. Current events take precedence.
