As you can see Lebron has potential not only to "get close to Jordan", but to even surpass him... he just has to go and do it... surpassing Kobe's career will be a much easier task though....

MJ and Kobe aged teremndously, adding more and more to their games as their athleticism faded. Let's hope LeBron can do that as well.

    please don't cite PER

doesn't account for defense (other than steals + blocks), has low consistency year-to-year, poor r^2 (both for individual and team outcomes), doesn't actually measure anything, comes from box score computation, etc.

use WS (and WS/48, DWS, OWS, and other subordinate metrics instead)

Difficult to compare. 2 of the players were given the green light from the get go. Didnt jordan average like 28 his first season?

Kobe was drafted then traded to the Lakers immediately where he didnt get enough time until the 2nd or 3rd season i believe

    At Jordan's stats
    33/6/6/3/1 on 52%

    At Lebron's as well
    28/7/7/2/1 on 48%

Kobe's stats pale in comparison to those two, but it's a bit deceptive when you when figure in his first several years.

As far as accolades, I'd have to put Jordan last at this age. Kobe vs Lebron I'm really not too sure
    3x Championship vs 1x Championship, 3x MVP, 1xFMVP

Lol at this Bandwagon Lebrick Dirkrider stan.. MJ at age 27 only played 7 years in the NBA while Lebrick already had 9 years.. Why dont you put the number of games they played..

And please dont put Lebrick name in the same sentence as this 2 GOAT MJ and Kobe.. Lebrick will never gonna surpass them..

Jordan was given a green light from the get go because he was coming out of college and was drafted to a shit team.

Kobe's stats are very deceptive though because of the reasons you mentioned, though it be hard to argue that those same circumstances didn't significantly help him in the accolades dept.

Guys, it's not about the age. Lebron entered the league how much earlier than Jordan?

this fool thinks its fair to compare it this way.. when Lebron is actually already behind
