It came down to who wanted it more, the Mavs or the Spurs. Probably the best playoffs series I have ever watched, but obviously the Mavs wanted it more. In the end, they played better when they needed to. Close the book, end of story.

i agree, but you act like if you swept the spurs or something, they could perfectly beat you this season, and you know it.

In no way shape or form do I ever act like we swept the Spurs. There is not a team in this league that I have more respect for than San Antonio. All of my posts that include them are always filled with nothing but praise for Duncan and Popovich.

I just cannot stand people who start with the hypothetical situations. If this, if that... NO. What happened, happened. It is pointless and a complete waste of time to say that if this happened, the outcome would have been different. I'm still pissed that the Mavs lost in the Finals. Did Wade get fouled in Game 5, ABSOLUTELY NOT, TERRIBLE CALL, had a big effect on the series. But the Mavs had an opportunity to rebound in Game 6 in Dallas and they didn't.

People too often try to take away a team's achievements, placing the outcome on one specific factor. That may pertain in a particular game, but in a 7 game series, one factor does NOT determine the outcome of the series.
