Default Derrick Rose signs for 5 yrs. $94 million

He could have gotten 5 yrs. $100 million plus. Surprised he took less money. Props to him though for doing it.

He's very good, and the sky is the limit. But...it's his fourth year FFS. MJ didn't made that kind of money until long after. That's the kind of contract that cripples your ability to hire good talent around a star player. IE Kevin Garnett.

Nah...That's a good contract for him and the Bulls...It won't cripple them...

If anything, Boozer's contract will be an issue in the future...But the Bulls are in a good position...One good (not great) shooting guard away from winning it all...

That's nothing like KG's position at Minn....

    I don't think that's a very reliable source.

Really, this argument has no ground.

1 million back in the 80s and early 90s is equipment of 12-13 million nowadays.

The price of gas was under 1 dollar at one point for god's sake.

Not to mention the differences in salary caps and how current owners are way richer businessmen.

    1984-85 - $550,000
    1985-86 - $630,000
    1986-87 - $737,500
    1987-88 - $845,000

Even if you adjust for inflation it doesn't comes close.

MJ (and other stars during that era) didn't start getting paid mega money until the '90s...What's your point?

My point is that 20+ millions is too much for a player with only 3 years under his belt.

That is a lot of money, but when Tyson freakin Chandler gets 10 mil a year Rose better get 20 plus.
