First day purchase for me. I'm a big fan of the series which started my love for zombies way back in the 90s.

Thorpe did you ever get to play the RE2 remake?

I did not. I actually just put it in over this past weekend. I intend to get going on it and have it beat in time for RE3.

So I did finally beat it last weekend, just the first time through with Claire. It's actually been so long that my memory of this game isn't very good. The first one burnt into my brain to the point where I could probably draw a schematic of the house pretty clearly. The second and third however I played through relatively quickly, I think in college while I was drinking and smoking pot, and while I loved them, my memory isn't as vivid.

I restarted as Leon and hopefully I'll make it through, but I'm a bit burnt out. The little I played so far it does run a little quicker knowing the map.

Such a great game. The remaster is done perfectly.

Shockingly I didn't chew up the map. I actually left the shock gun in the sewers getting lost up trying to get Sherry out of there.

Loved it as well, my only tiny complaint is that I felt it was a wee bit short for a $60 AAA title. Visually it is one of the best looking games and my personal fav in 2019

That's fair, but with the multiple versions of the game, it feels like they kind of make up for it.

I finally pre-ordered mine. I wanted to get some higher end edition, but nothing seemed to be coming. Feels like I'm gonna need something to do at home soon.

The demo is great, I think RE2 + RE3 may be the best remakes ever. They made Jill even better in this than the '99 original imo. Capcom making insane photo realistic games with the RE engine

Also the 3D audio in this game is amazing, maybe the best use of 360 sound i've ever heard. I highly recommend playing this with good headphones, even with a good TV soundbar it's dramatically different

I wouldn't be surprised if RE3 makes a good run with CP2077 and TLOU 2 for game of the year.
